The Line Producer & Development will be responsible for project work of the company, find and apply to public and private grant sources and support the vision of its Artistic Director & Choreographer, Roderick George.

Roderick was recipient of the Princess Grace Award – Choreography.
AUGUST 15TH 2024
Roderick received the inaugural Jacob’s Pillow Award in the spirit of the Ted Shawn Company and presented two extracts of his productions The Missing Fruit and Venom during the Jacob’s Pillow Festival.
SEPTEMBER 20TH & 21ST 2024
Venom will be presented at the New York City Center as part of Fall for Dance Festival.
FEBRUARY 2025
First residency of development for the piece Venom.
NOVEMBER 4TH 2025
World Premiere of the full length of Venom (Name TBC) at Scene Nationale de Reims in France as part of the festival Born To Be A Live.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The principal responsibility of the Line Producer & Development is to provide management & coordination support for the creation kNoname Artist productions & tours both within the US & abroad, and apply to relevant Grand and Funds available to support the productions and the company structure, reporting to the Senior Producer and the Director as determined.
Key responsibilities include:
LOGISTICS
-
Plan and manage the rehearsal process, liaising with the artists and production managers to ensure the creative process is appropriately supported.

Undertake, or supervise, the preparation and circulation of rehearsal and touring schedules in consultation with the relevant Artistic team, Production or other Company members.
-
In collaboration with the Technical Production Manager, ensure the necessary technical resources are in place to adequately support productions.
-
Support and manage the artists, performers and teams of stage management and technical personnel engaged for each relevant production, dealing with any contractual and personnel management issues as they arise, in consultation with any appropriate parties.

Supervise ancillary activities for touring productions such as workshops, talks and digital activities as agreed contractually with Venues.
-
Supervise the process of obtaining visas, work permits/certificates of sponsorship, immigrations, Customs clearance, social security forms, W10 or any other administrative documents for artists and company personnel ensuring relevant paperwork is provided to venues and the appropriate authorities in a timely manner.

The role may require some Company Management support to the Director and the company members on tour.
CONTRACTUAL & FINANCE
In collaboration with the Senior Producer & International Development:
-
Negotiate financial deals with co-producers, venue and festival presenters, artists, performers, music publishers and other relevant organisations, including the agreement of fees and disbursements; licences; royalties; travel and accommodation arrangements; technical and marketing contras; and, where appropriate, sponsorship arrangements.

Draft, negotiate and manage contracts with the creative team, performers, rights holders, tour venues and festivals, as appropriate.

Supervise the procedure of engagement of production and touring personnel.
-
Supervise the support and management of the artists and performers engaged for each of their productions, dealing with any contractual and personnel management issues as they arise, in consultation with any appropriate parties.

Draft and manage budgets and financial processes for selected productions including forecast cash flows; income and expenditure targets; reconciliation settlements; financial grant reports and all monitoring and reporting required internally or with partner organizations.
DEVELOPMENT
-
Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential patrons, individual donors, corporate and foundation sponsors.

Establishing short and long-range goals for public and private grant sources (government, corporations and foundations); writing and submitting grant applications and reports, and ensuring company compliance with grant requirements.

Organize and manage fundraisings and work closely with the Director to develop financial models and projections for the company long-term strategic growth.

Support the Senior Producer & International development with Residency applications in Europe.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Ensure productions are adequately supported by marketing and press activity including the preparation and proofing of digital, print material and press releases as necessary.

Support the planning and delivery of the Company’s digital activities & ensure the Website is up to date.
GENERAL
-
Supervise the work, where appropriate or Trainee or Assistants as required.

Attend tour dates, opening nights or press performances, or any other events linked to the productions as agreed with the Director.

A commitment to and interest in Contemporary Dance.
